Strangetown, Season 3 - La Fiesta Tech
My LFT is a cluttered mess but I love it…
The university was built by an oasis in the 1960s, and specializes in the sciences, offering scholarships to STEM students. It’s known for being very pro-alien, left wing, and nonconformist. Therefore, its garnered a bit of a reputation for being a nest of weirdos. Its Greek houses are pretty modern, and much less concerned with gender roles than those at SSU. LFT is also known for the Fiesta Cows simball team, and their legion of evil cow mascots.
“So, I might be moving out this year.”
“Moving out? Why?”
“Me and Puck are thinking of starting a cult.”
Klara snorted. “A cult.”
“Yeah! We’re going to be self sustaining. Grow our own crops, make music and survive on tips…”
“Worship a bovine overlord…”
“It’s not going to be like the Kine Society, jeez! It’s just gonna be, you know, communal living.”
“Hmmm.”
“I will miss having you here.”
“Really? I thought all my friends coming over all the time was driving you nuts.”
“Well, yes. But I will miss you, all the same.”
Giving their place a bit of a face-lift, primarily because I wanted more counter space so that Klara could have an espresso machine to continue her addiction. I can’t believe how much space there can actually be in a tiny room like this with the right furniture arrangement!
Having a go at building the little commune Puck and Blossom are starting. I might move Jared & Ty here later, too?
Klara was a little sad that Blossom was moving on. Granted, their lifestyles were very different, but… Klara liked her. Obviously it would be ludicrous to pursue a relationship with someone like Blossom, who was starting a commune of all things, but she wished it were different. If only Blossom were a little more down to earth, and Klara was a little more outgoing! They’d be a lovely couple. But she knew deep down it wasn’t meant to be.
Right, obviously she was going to have to start getting out more. Meeting new people. She couldn’t get through uni with no friends but Blossom forever! Delilah was cool. She wished she’d gone to a college as sophisticated as Le Tour. And Stella! She was weird, but undeniably attractive.
Blossom and Puck hang out and talk logistics.

Dirk, you’re not on a date or anything! Lilith isn’t even here! This boy is completely besotted.

Stella has a popularity secondary, and rolled a want to join the sorority. It took a handful of attempts, but she finally got in! Puck’s friends with Monica, and put in a good word.
Whenever Stella starts dancing, she’s quickly joined by a bunch of other girls. She’s too shy to chat sometimes, and finds this a good alternative way to make friends!
“So, what’s your major?”
“Economics. I’m studying to be a business man.”
“Cool! I want to make money too so I might go into business. Then again maybe law? Or medicine? I don’t know!”
“Well, it’s only freshman year. You’ve got plenty of time to make up your mind.”
“So, sorry, are you a boy or a girl?”
“I’m kind of a bit of both.”
“Oh, right, okay. That’s cool. You’re really kicking my ass at this, by the way.”
“Yeah, it’s because I play Stella so much. She’s a real chess whiz!”
“Miranda, hey!… Yeah, it’s going well. Can’t wait for you to come join us… You’re thinking about LFT, too? Awesome! Is Melody coming, too?… No, I’ve not seen Hermia this week, got a lot on my plate… Maybe this weekend.”
With Puck moving to the commune and Stella moving to the sorority, Dirk decides to get a little place on his own, away from the craziness of the dorms.
Lilith picks some odd combinations of people for her outings Downtown. Dirk’s glad her and Angela have finally made amends, but why the heck did she bring the Lothario kid?
(I noticed some townie kids showed up at the lot too, so I guess townie kids will visit community lots if you bring a kid? This is news to me, and it means I’ll probably be bringing kids out more often.)
Lilith and Ophelia have been friends for a while.
“Zoe’s invited me to take over as bassist once Gunnar graduates.”
“So it’ll be all girls? Sweet. Damn, I wish I was joining a band.”
“Why not start one?”
“Hey, now there’s a idea!”
“Night, Lil. See you again soon?”
“Sure thing. You can come me my soon-to-be-formed band play our first gig.”
Dirk’s a little short on money, so he works in the gym’s canteen when he has the time. Johnny and the cheerleader are the only students any good on the treadmill.
Hanging out with the neighbors. He’s not sure about Klara yet, but he gets on well with Johnny and Ophelia.
Since he’s so short on money and had a want for old townie friend Ricky Cormier to come to university, I move Ricky in as a roommate. Ricky’s a romance sim, and is disappointed to discover the local girls are mostly all spoken for and/or lesbians.
I really need to rename some households, this is getting ridiculous.
