Strangetown, Season 3 - Smith
The Smiths are eagerly awaiting the birth of their 4th child. Jill’s privately dreading it; ever since she hit teenhood she’s had to babysit 24/7, and she’s not even being paid for it!
Baby Julia arrives when Jenny is in the middle of making breakfast, and she ends up needing to put out a fire as soon as the baby’s out of there. Jenny’s a fucking superhero.
Jenny finally gets some rest after one heck of a busy morning.
Jill teaches Jess to walk while her parents get some rest. She also ages her up but I forgot to get a picture of that? This household is really hectic, okay. We’ll see her all grown up later.
Judo was meant to be Jill’s dog, but everyone in the family knows he’s Jenny’s, really.
“Hey, Jess. Guess who’s come to visit?”
“Who!!!”
“Our big brother!”
“Oh. We have a big brother?”
“Hey, bro.”
“She doesn’t remember me?”
“Of course she doesn’t! You visit, like, once a year.”
“Okay, guilty. I’ll make up for it.”
“Sure, sure. But first!”
“What’s this?”
“Mom boxed up your stuff, she wants to give your room to Julia when she’s older.”
“Man! But what if I want to move back here when I graduate?”
“Do you want to move back here when you graduate? We all kind of assumed you’d be moving in with Phi, and God knows we don’t have space for another couple and another batch of babies.”
“Woah, who said anything about babies?”
“Okay, legs a liiiiiittle closer together… now swing!”
Hanging out with more relatives! To be honest, the household is busy enough that I just teleport in other Curious-Smiths willy-nilly. They live close together, so it makes sense that they’d pop by often. (And the extra hands come in useful.)
“Buck, hey! What you up to?”
“Just taking Rebel out for a walk. Are you busy?”
“I’m always busy, big sigh. But come in! Rebel and Judo can play together for a bit.”
“It’s a shame Judo’s a boy dog, they could have fallen in love and had puppies.”
“More babies in the house? Haha, no thanks!”
“I can’t wait to get out of this crazy house, Buck. Gonna go to Le Tour and watch all the hot musicians play. Maybe become a hot musician myself!”
“Please don’t turn into my brother.”
“I’m going to be way cooler than your brother.”
“I better head back soon. Dad doesn’t like me being home after dark.”
“Ugggggggh, your Dad sucks. You should sneak out sometime.”
“Hahaha, I wouldn’t dare.”
“You can’t live under his thumb forever, Buck. And I need to get out of the house. Sneak out with me tonight, pretty please?”
“Fine. But if we get arrested, I’m blaming you.”
After all these years, they’re still so in love.
Julia grows up into a very Smith-y outfit, and I can’t resist giving P.T. new clothes to match <3
