Pleasantview, Season 3 - Shores

Today in Pleasantview Plus, we join divorcee Sandy Beech and her lovechild, Mimi. After a fairly messy divorce, she hopes to make a new start here in Pleasantview.

She quickly gets acquainted with the neighbors. One of the first she meets is Jennifer Burb. Sandy fills her in on her story. She’s done with feeling ashamed about what happened.

Mimi looks more like her mother than her father, although I think she might have Rhett’s mouth? I’m bad with facial features.
Here’s her stats, since I think she’s the only Widespot baby I never posted them for.

Sandy brought home this contraption from work. It helps her make a bit of extra cash, which is useful since money is tight!

Rhett starts getting pretty jealous when Penny and Junior start flirting at Sandy’s birthday party.

Honestly I’m wondering what’s up with my ACR? Rhett shouldn’t be getting jealous. That said, I enjoy the drama and unexpected responses, so I’m not too fussed for now. (I’ve tried removing all my other mods, but that didn’t solve the problem. Maybe I’ve got some hacked item somewhere that’s causing issues?) Just kinda worried about what’s going to happen with the various poly households I have planned…

Rhett actually interacting with his kid! Okay, I had to have Sandy influence him, but hey. Cute.

Sandy wasn’t sure how she felt about getting growing old alone. It wasn’t as bad as she’d feared. She still had her family, her friends, Mimi…
In a way, she was happy to have escaped the pressures of married life. The only person she had to answer to in Pleasantview was Mimi, and she kinda liked that.

It looked like her and Hamilton were on better terms. She missed Hamilton, but against all odds, he’d come to her party. Maybe they’d never get back together, but perhaps they could still be in each other’s lives in some way. She liked that.

Somehow the party was a roof raiser despite Rhett and Junior breaking into an all-out brawl???

Oh yeah, here’s how I made over Sandy. She’s finally escaped the oppressive black & white color scheme from her former home. I gave her glasses too, because I think they suit her.

She sets invited out pretty often, but generally has to turn the offers down. Being a single Mom isn’t easy on your love life!

Hooray!!! With this bonus and promotion along with the candy-machine, Sandy feels like she’s able to retire. At last, no more need for the nanny!

Sandy had a want to befriend John, so invited him over. He wanted to bring a friend. I assumed it would be Jennifer, but… dammit, guys! I can’t believe I wrote Brandi moving on from her crush on John then this happens! Bad sims :/

Aaaaand it’s time for another birthday party! Mimi’s, this time.

Here’s Mimi pre and post makeover. That hair was not flattering at all :/
I love how unique her face is. That’s definitely Rhett’s mouth, I think?

“Here.”
“What’s this?”
“Mimi’s toddler stuff. For when you have kids.”
“Mom! That’s a bit preemptive, isn’t it? I’m not even dating anyone!”
“Well I don’t have anyone else to give it to! And it would be a waste to throw away such nice stuff.”
“Ugh, fiiiiiiine.”

Aaaaaaand that about wraps things up. Not much story this time around, whoops. I wasn’t feeling all that inspired, I guess? New families are always tricky.
Here’s Mimi and Sandy doing some mother-daughter bonding.
