Pleasantview, Season 3 - Goth

Back in Pleasantview, Bella and Mortimer were making up for the many years they’d spent apart.

Oliver felt lonely at times. His father was always playing with Bella, and Alexander was always playing with Meadow! They didn’t seem to have a lot of time for him.
Despite his age, he could sense he was becoming an outsider in the family. The Goth were all refined, elegant and reserved. Oliver wasn’t.
Still, he wasn’t unhappy. He was able to keep himself amused, and spent a lot of time with his friend Mia Broke.

“It’s so cute how your parents are getting married all over again.”
“I don’t see why it’s really necessary, but I suppose it is nice. Say, would you like to come to the wedding?”
“Heck yes!!!”

“Ah, so you’re the girl Alexander’s been telling me about.”
“Nice to meet you, Mrs Goth!”
“There’s no need for such formalities. Please, call me Bella.”

“Won’t your mom mind us doing it here?”
“She… doesn’t have to know.”

Mortimer decided it was time for a new look. He might be getting older, but that was no excuse for him to be neglecting himself.

Cassie, Don and the twins arrive at the house early, to help out with the wedding preparations.

Quality time with the grandkids!

“I admit I had my reservations about you marrying my Cassie, but I think I was wrong about you. You’re a good man, Don Lothario.”
“I’m trying to be. I love her.”
“I know.”

Wedding time! They keep the guest list confined to a select few family and friends.

“Do you know what the best part of this whole abduction mess was? I got to fall in love with you all over again.”
“Oh, Bella… don’t ever leave me alone again, I beg of you.”

The toddlers wandered into the graveyard during the ceremony, and I these shots of the Grey Lady watching over them were pretty poignant.

Meadow and Alex have a quiet flirt round the corner as everyone files indoors.

Cassimiro and Bernado saying “I’m taking off, I’ve got some things to take care of at home” and toddling out of there was my personal highlight of the wedding tbh.

When they head upstairs to re-consummate their marriage and find it already occupied, Bella is horrified. For a romance sim, she’s a bit of a prude. Then again, it is her teenage son.

“So does Bella have to be my new mommy, now?”
“Heavens, no! Dina will always be your mother, Oliver. She hasn’t been replaced.”
“But she’s dead.”
“Well, yes.” Mortimer thought for a moment, unsure of what to tell his son. “Bella might officially be your stepmother, but whether you want to see her as mother is entirely up to you. If you do, it doesn’t mean you love your real mother any less, just as me marrying Bella doesn’t mean I love Dina any less.”
“And what if I don’t want her to be my mom?”
“Well, that’s fine. I’d like it if you’d at least try to be friends, however. I’m getting older, and won’t be around to look after you forever.”

Oh yeah, this happened at the Goth wedding.

Oliver gets along really well with both his siblings.

Mortimer and Bella got their turn with the bed eventually.

Family life with the Goths.

And then it snowed! Finally!

Since it was snowing, and that was the weather Bella (and I) originally wanted for the wedding, I re-shot a quick wedding photo. Here’s all the Goth-Lotharios!
