Pleasantview, Season 3 - Dreamer

Darren Dreamer was having the worst morning. He’d tried to fix their battered microwave, and got himself electrocuted. Some knowledge sims were into it, getting zapped, but Darren didn’t want to experience anything like that again.

With the microwave definitely not an option, he’d attempted making himself something to eat on the stove, and it had caught fire! These kitchen appliances would be the death of him yet. If they had a bit more money, he’d renovate it.

He missed having a woman in the house.

He phoned up Erin Beaker, who he’d lately become quite good friends with. A fellow artist, she was compassionate, creative, energetic… simply inspiring to be around. Naturally, he was head over heels in love with her.

Why did he always fall for younger women? He was starting to feel like a real creep.

Still, it didn’t matter. Erin wasn’t interested in anything serious, and that was fine by him. He was lucky she even gave him the time of day.

He’d joined Pleasantview Pottery club recently, too, deciding to branch out from only painting. To his suprise, he’d met Mary-Sue there. Lilith’s mother. He’d never figured her for the creative type.

The two of them had struck up a friendship. It was a relief to Darren to finally have a friend the same age as him, although there wasn’t any romantic spark between them.

Still, it was nice to spend time with her.

Dirk was making preparations for college and, to his joy, had won a scholarship for at La Fiesta Tech, primarily for his work in the medical field. LFT was a favorite for STEM specialists.

“Take this, before you go.”

“What is it?”

“An old painting I did of your mother back when she was alive.”

“Wow… thanks, Dad.”

“You’re welcome. Now get moving! Your taxi’s waiting.”
