Johnny was doing everything he could to spend time with his family before leaving for college. It was hard not to feel a little sentimental when Jill brought up how much she was going to miss him every 10 minutes.
He was going to miss them, too.
“I’m just cooking pancakes, dear, there’s no need to go poking in the fridge.”
“But I’m hungry now!”
“Hi, Buck!! Hang out… now? Sorry, I’ve got… well… Johnny’s playing SSX and I wanna be player two. Maybe later, yeah?”
“So it’s La Fiesta Tech? But what about the sports! Are you going to join the Cows?”
“Haha, I dunno. Maybe!”
“I’m gonna miss you.”
“I know Jill, you tell me every day! But yeah, me too.”
“Are you gonna live with Ophelia at college?”
“I’m going into the dorms to start with, but maybe we’ll rent a little house or something in 2nd year. Without Mom and Dad breathing down our necks, maybe we’ll finally get to fourth base!”
“Eww!”
(Jill and Johnny haning out upstairs was all autonomous, she’s been clinging to him like glue the whole round and it’s making my heart swell.)
“So, are you hoping for a boy or a girl?”
“I don’t mind, as long as they’re healthy.”
“Come on, Polly, you must have a preference!”
“No, but…”
“But…?”
“I hope the baby has my hair. I’m surrounded by blonds, day in, day out!”
“Ooooh, yes! Your hair was so attractive.”
“What do you mean, was?”
“Was. Is. Whatever, you know I’m here for your sexy green skin.”
“And not my sparkling personality?”
“Nah.”
Some more family life!
I was redecorating the place throughout, putting @strangetomato‘s photos up everywhere and slowly making everything greener.
Johnny’s going-away party! It was mostly a family shindig rather than a big teen party, but of course Ripp and Ophelia were there, too.
Chloe and Ripp get on like a house on fire. She’s got a bit of a soft spot for him and he’s got a huge teen-crush on her.
And speaking of age-gap crushes, Jill has one on Ripp. He’s so cool! She’s going to get a leather jacket when she ages up, too, then maybe he’ll let her join his coolkid gang.
“Hey, Jill. Who are you playing against?”
“Lazlo!”
“Lazlo..?”
“I didn’t want to get up, okay!”
“Can you even see the screen from there?”
“Sure I can. I’m wearing glasses.”
“Those are sunglasses!”
Quiet Pascal wants to get away from the crowd. Lola’s by no means shy, but she competitive as hell and never misses a chance to play him.
“Y’know, I’m starting to feel a little excluded here.”
“Jenny? Where are you, we’re having cake.”
“Just a sec, dear!”
It’s possibly the most public birth in the history of Strangetown.
I think the baby was a girl called Jess but I don’t really remember it’s been a while ok!!!! Another blonde, though.
“And on that bombshell… I’m off to college.”
“So the thing about fucking with aliens is….”
“Hey guys, I’m leaving.”
“Aw, John! I’m gonna miss ya, buddy.”
“And I’m gonna see you tomorrow at the dorms! So anyway me and Johnny were in his room…”
(Ophelia tells a lot of dirty jokes about aliens. I like to think she makes up all sorts of outrageous lies about Johnny’s junk to see how long it takes for them to call bullshit. They haven’t actually ever had sex though.)
