Strangetown, Season 2 (Autumn) - Singles
Poor Erin was starting to feel a tad left behind. Her housemates were all doing so well, getting promotions left and right, and meanwhile her dream of becoming a star actor was quickly fading into nothing but that.
She desperately needed a game plan, but instead retreated into a quiet world of painting and daydreams.
“I’m sorry about your job, Erin.”
“That’s okay! I’m already waaaaay over it.”
“That’s good to hear. So what are you thinking of doing now?”
“I dunno! I might just focus on my art for a bit and see what comes up.”
“Always good to work on yourself! Just, y’know, don’t forget about rent.”
“It’s under control, Kris! Jeez.”
“Okay then, see you soon!” Lola put the phone down. “Dad’s coming over.”
“I wish you’d stop calling him Dad. It’s not like he had a hand in raising us.”
“Come on Clo, don’t sulk. He’s trying his hardest.”
“Not hard enough.”
“So I’m thinking of taking a job as a lounge singer, but I don’t know! What do you think, Ajay?”
“I think you need to quit being so picky, get your shit together, and just take the next job you see in the paper, princess. We’re all sick of hearing you go on about your so-called ‘plans’.”
“I wasn’t talking to you, Chloe! What would you know about having your life in order, anyway?”
“Now, girls-” interjected P.T.
“Shut up! Both of you, shut up. I’m fine, okay? I don’t need advice from you freaks.”
”What?” Chloe had shrugged when Lola rebuked her, “she started it, I was just trying to make breakfast.”
“She was on the floor!”
“Eh. I didn’t start the fight, but I didn’t have a problem finishing it.”
With fights constantly escalating, Erin decided she’d had enough. It was one thing to not get along with somebody, but being attacked, in her own home? She was leaving, and she wasn’t looking back.
Some misc shots of the Singles household before I move on for a bit! They were really dragging for some reason.
