Pleasantview, Season 2 (Autumn) - Pleasant

“So what I’m saying, Lil, is that I’m sorry.

“It’s okay, I forgive you.”

“Really?”

“Nah.”

“Ow! But I-”

“Look, I don’t know what you’re planning exactly, but you’re not going to make a fool of me! You can take that fake apology and shove it.”

Angela cried. Why did Lilith have to be such a heinous bitch? Why didn’t she believe her?

Okay, so she’d pretended to make up with her one time as a practical joke and humiliated her in the process, but! They’d been like, 10! It was in the past

While the twins were making war, Mary-Sue and Daniel were making up.

“You bitch! It’s not my fault Mom and Dad like me better!”

“They’ll like you a whole lot less when I tell them what a whore you’ve been, having sex with your white trash boyfriend.”

“How-?”

“Heard it from Ripp, bitch.”

“You’re just jealous Dustin doesn’t hang out with you guys any more! He likes me better, too.”

“He does not!”

“Does too!”

“Ha! Not so stupid, now, are we, huh Angela!!”

Daniel hadn’t changed one bit, but he was glad to be on good terms with Mary-Sue again. Still… the team’s new recruit was too attractive a prospect to pass up.

Of course he was caught out again, but luckily it was Kaylynn, not Sue, who caught him this time.

“You said you were divorcing! Aren’t you leaving her for me?”

“Ah, Kaylynn. I was hoping for a word with you. In private, if you will.”

“Look, I don’t want to be unreasonable, here. Here’s your next month’s salary, in full. Now, please, leave me and my husband alone. If we’re going to work on our marriage, I can’t have someone like you around him.”

“Take that, Lilith! Who’s topped the career ladder? Yeah, me.”

“Yeah, okay, I slept with Dustin. We love each other, so what? At least I’m not some stuck up frigid prude bitch!”

It had been an unlucky day for Daniel. He’d spent his day off at the club, but not a single hot young female. He supposed that was what he got for haunting the bar during the day time.

He needed to be getting home, but bumped into Chloe on his way home. And, well. They had unfinished business to take care of.

Things in the Pleasant household had a way of repeating themselves.

“That’s it, Daniel. I’m moving out.”

“Sue-”

“It was all bullshit, wasn’t it? ‘Only a kiss’, ‘going to change’, ‘make it up to you’. I worked in politics, Dan. I know bullshit when I hear it. I just… wanted to believe you.”

“Where will you go?”

“I’ll stay with my parents for now. I’ll be gone by 8.”

“Hey, Dad, I got an- woah. Who’s the slut in bed with you?”

“Go talk to your mother, Lilith.”

“Your father had an affair, so I’m moving out. I’ll be staying with my parents for now, so-”

“What? Hold up! Dad would never-”

“He sure would, Ange. I just saw him.”

“WHAT?”

“It’s true, go check it out for yourself if you don’t believe me. So can I come with you, Mom?”

“I don’t know that there’ll be room…”

“I can manage. Please, Mom, I hate Angela, I hate Dad, and I hate this fucking house.”

“Fine. But I don’t appreciate the language, Lilith.”
