Pleasantview, Season 2 (Autumn) - Caliente
Working out was the only thing keeping Nina sane. When she was pushing her body to be better, stronger, she didn’t think about her sister as much and she didn’t think about Don.
Him phoning her up threw a spanner in the works, though.
“Hey there, doctor. A home visit, is it?”
“Not in public, Nina, not in public!”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let’s get in the house, then.”
It wasn’t fair, Nina thought. She used to find her and Don’s trysts thrilling, romantic, even. But now? She was starting to feel used, and dirty. Fucking her teenhood boyfriend, who’d grown into the biggest player in this small town? That was one thing. But a married man, and the father of twins? She was the worst.
But it wasn’t just the guilt that was bothering her. It was jealousy, too. If Don was going to settle down with someone… why not her? Their chemistry was wonderful, their woohoo was electric, and they could be open and honest with each other like nobody else. With Cassandra, there was always going to be deception. She just… didn’t understand.
Ugh, this was stupid. What was she doing? Don didn’t love her.
She was a romance sim, for crying out loud. Why was she so hung up on this asshole?
She knew what she had to do. She had to get out of Pleasantview, and make a fresh start. Somewhere Don wouldn’t be around to bother her, and she wouldn’t have to look at Dina’s empty room all the time.
Leaving Don sleeping in her bed, Nina made her exit.
