Académie Le Tour, Season 2, Part 2 (O'Feefe, Friends, Capp, Monty, Biggs)

Snowfall in Academie Le Tour, and Delilah O’Feefe is doing what she does best.
I’ve been sprucing up the university hoods with hood deco since I went on a download spree recently, and pretty much outright copied the style/layout Jodelie came up with. The castle walls give it a real Oxbridge vibe which kind of makes me want to ditch the individual houses and completely redesign the dorms as Oxbridge-style ‘colleges’. Maybe someday!

Delilah invites the other ladies of Le Tour’s LGBT society over for some fun in the snow. Emily makes a few passes at Ellen, who turns her down so hard her head goes into the wall. Delilah’s secretly pretty relieved, since she thinks Emily is kinda cute…

Hey, maybe things are going to go her way!

Study group!

Uh oh! Looks like Hermia isn’t coping so well with the whole long-distance thing, and is wrestling with some feelings for Mercutio she didn’t realize she still had.

Ah yes, the OTP! I fiddled with their turn ons/gender pref as soon as I loaded up the lot, but they did all the rest themselves and are already in love with a want to get married. Slow down, guys!

Despite his sporty appearance, Max’s bio (and behavior!) says he enjoys cooking and reading, so I gave him plenty of books (he’s sloppy so most of them are in a big pile on the floor). There’s a few cookery books tucked away in there! I also switched his OTH to cuisine and gave him a family secondary, since he rolled a want to learn how to make comfort soup.

“So, want to come with me to the gym today?”
“I dunno, it’s not really my scene.”
“Not everything has to be a ‘scene’ Mitch! You’re not going to find those body points sitting around here.”
“I could work out to the music…”
“Lame! Come on, dude.”
“Fine, whatever.”

Mitch really isn’t feeling this “gym” thing.

“Not so bad, right? Hey, why haven’t you got changed yet?”
“Uh…”
“For God’s sake Mitch, don’t tell me you just sat up there watching TV.”
“I put on some music.”
“Augh! I am getting you on that treadmill if it’s the last thing I do!”

(I was going to have Max coach Mitch but he ran off to class, whoops. Mitch seemed to manage all right on his own once he’d got his fun level up, though.)

“Hey, you got fit! Nice, let’s go celebrate in the hot tub.”
“This was the main reason you brought me here, wasn’t it?”
“Well, yeah. Neither of our places have double beds.”

Which hot tub woohoo position is your favourite?

“Max! Put the book down, look what I taught Regina to say!”
“What?”
“Squark! I love you! Squark!”
“Pretty cool, right?????”
“You’re ridiculous.”

I summoned the entirety of the hood’s queer playables, since not all of them have been added to the group or know each other yet, and woah! Two things I’ve been quietly shipping take off.

Here’s where I am with the uni students, by the way! I’m not playing them very strictly, but I’m aiming to have Johnny, Ophelia, Tybalt, Tank and Mercutio all be seniors or so when I stop playing university & go back to the main hood for the Winter rotation. I want the premade-teen-but-not-quite-old-enough brigade (the Pleasantview kids, Ripp Grunt, Miranda Capp, Scot Land, David Ottomas and Woody Weiss) to have a chance to hang out with their friends at uni.
As for all the uni premades, I’m playing almost all of them but they’ll graduate when I feel like it. Different people stay at college different lengths, whether it’s because they’re failing a lot, because they’re doing postgrad work, or because they’re taking a year out to work. I’m not too fussed about continuity so long as it doesn’t get too ridiculous, after all we’ve got all those dormies hanging around who aren’t graduating anytime soon so who cares! Besides, I don’t want the hoods to end up too empty.
(I don’t know if anyone cares about this kind of thing but I’m really interested in how people organise their games so I figure other people might be, too.)

Meanwhile, over with Tybalt & Co…

“Did you just get fit from eating Chinese food?” Tybalt was yelling incredulously. “What the hell!”
“I always thought Chinese food was pretty healthy…” Emily mused, “I mean, it has vegetables.”
“Pizzas have vegetables on them sometimes, doesn’t make them healthy. Seriously, do you guys know anything about food?”
“Well, today I made my first toaster pastry this morning without burning it?”
“Oh, wow!”

Tom had a want to take somebody on a date, but only has chemistry with Tybalt (doesn’t want to shit where he eats) and Mitch (already knows Mitch plans on proposing to Max next year so why bother with that). None of the Tricou’s really do it for him so he asks out Phin. They don’t have any chemistry, but roll wants to fall in love with each other and have a lot of woohoo.
“Want to see my secret move for dates?”
“Uh…”

“Ta-dah! And in the snow, too. Pretty cool?”
“Pretty gross! Put your clothes back on!!!”

“Hey, babe!”
“Tiave? What’re you doing here?”
“Waiting for you to get back from class! Want to go on a hot date?”
“I think I might be too tired, sorry.”
“Oh, all right…”
“No, I mean!! Is next weekend good?”

Juliette and Romeo are quite the well-known couple on campus! They’re still going strong. Romeo thinks about other women sometimes, but hey, it’s just thinking.

I moved Victor Perry and Calvin Straight in with them, because Romeo kept rolling wants for Calvin to come to college. I don’t remember why Victor moved in too, because neither Juliette nor Romeo like him very much. Oh well!
Anyway, the no-longer-townies quickly start on the romance with the dormies, with no input from me!

Romeo and Juliette reminisce about their past together over a game of darts.

Computer is working once again, internet is back up and running, so resuming Pleasantview Plus updates! Last time: Romeo and Juliette were still going strong at the Academie Le Tour dorms, despite their lack of any chemistry.

The amphitheater is really cute imo, but there’s not much to do there! So in one of the most half-assed makeovers imaginable, I threw a bunch of instruments on the stage, put a kitchen in the “changing room” and added tables. Now it’s an outdoor dinner-and-a-show venue! Somewhere for my college students to eat out.

Oh yeah, and this happened. I’m pretty sure it’s bad! (It’s Romeo’s memories of his grandad, Patrizio Monty, who seems to be missing his character data.) A few other characters are missing character data too, according to the hoodchecker/simPE, although it seems to only be dead sims, so maybe I’ll be okay for now.
I’m pretty well-acquainted with avoiding hood corruption, but it always seems to catch me anyway! In this case I’m not too surprised since the hood was started on one computer then transferred to another, and a lot of subhoods were added which weren’t meetme’s clean templates (I forgot I didn’t have them installed on my laptop!) I wasn’t as careful as I normally am because I honestly didn’t expect to get invested in the neighborhood and make it my primary one - it was just a quick one I threw together.
Still, this is pretty worrying. But I’m not too far in, nothing game-breaking has occurred as of yet, and I’m willing to just recreate the neighbourhood if it gets completely borked.

Hermia pops by pretty often to hang out with her sister. She doesn’t say it, but Juliette thinks she might be lonely. She’s not made many friends on campus just yet.

Romeo was rolling more and more “go on a date with X” “fall in love with X” “make over with 3 sims” wants, so I decided it was time for him to put the whole “loyalty” thing aside and have his fun.
He took out his professor, Anna. To my shock, he rolled an engagement want for her! He’s never done that with Juliette. I think he might be questioning whether a future with her is what he really wants.

Romeo has a few flings and flirtations, but he’s never gone all the way with any of them, and he’s careful to turn down their flirts if Jules is around. He’s still conflicted, I suppose. He wants to have fun at college, play the field a bit, live out his youth… but Juliette was his first love and he does still love her. He doesn’t want to hurt her!

Meanwhile - Marla Biggs love life was in trouble. She spotted her love interest, who she thought things were progressing well with, kissing another girl! Hoping to save things, she asked him if he wanted to be exclusive with her. The answer was no :(

Ellen Frost throws a party.

Fun in the snow with Mercutio and Pals. That’s Chaz’s girlfriend Heather Vu, a dormie. She looks a little like Crystal Vu and they’ve got the same name, so I made them sisters.

“Come on babe, it was just a bit of harmless fun!”
“Harmless? You’ve barely paid me any attention in weeks, and now it’s obvious why!”
“Babe-”
“Don’t ‘babe’ me. I’m breaking up with you.”
