Académie Le Tour, Season 2, Part 1 (Tricou, Monty, Capp, etc.)

Gang’s all here!

Orion, Kestrel, Swan, Tiave, Patrick and Loren, having hit the age of 18, each received a letter from their late father, Jon Smith Tricou, explaining the circumstances of their birth. For some of the kids this was a shock, others suspected, and one’s mother had outright told them they were Jon Smith’s lovechild. The teens also discovered their wealthy father had left them each a college fund, and so they set about getting together at Academie Le Tour. The students are excited to be getting to know their long lost family! And they’ve already found out they have a lot in common: they’re all pleasure sims, and four of them are planning on a life of crime.

“Uh, dude? We’re trying to take our first ever family portrait, do you mind?”
“I say let the llama do his thing! Go llamas!”

(important outtake I almost considered using instead)

Fun at the dorms! Of course a house full of pleasure sims had to get a bubble blower. I think Tiave is my favorite Tricou teen so far, but I’m also very partial to Swan and Loren.

I got bored of playing the main branch of the Capps with all the other teens gone, and sent Juliette and Hermia off to college. Their aging up outfits were so very Veronaville, I was almost tempted to keep them.

Quick recap since it’s been a while since I actually played Tybalt. Tybalt moved in with Emily and Tom because he wanted some peace and quiet from the dorms, and they seemed like studious types who wouldn’t get on his nerves too much. To his surprise, they became good friends; Tom was even first person he officially came out to. (Tom and Emily don’t mind, of course, since they’re both very gay themselves.)

The house is small, but that’s never bothered Tom and Emily, who have very little in the way of personal space. Tybalt’s still getting used to this touchy-feely just-be-yourself stuff.

Some pictures of life with Tybalt & Friends.

New couch! Tom and Emily figured they’d better get a bigger one since it looked like Tybalt was here to stay.

The old one got left on the curb, “free to a good home”. Nobody’s picked it up, though.

“What the hell is this, guys?” Tybalt asked when he saw the monstrosity on their front lawn.

“It’s art is what it is.”

“It’s more than art!” Emily insisted, “what we have here is a community.”

“I… did you steal the skeleton from the science lab?”

“I prefer the term liberated.”

I’ve been decorating their house as I play, and I’m sort of sad they’ll be leaving it soon!

It was a shock for Mercutio to bump into Juliette all grown up. During his time at uni, he’d almost forgotten about his brother’s kind-of-hot-but-tell-nobody girlfriend that was always beating him up.

“So… hi.”
“Hi. You’ve decided to stop hating my guts?”
“For Romeo’s sake, yeah. And you?”
“Hey, I’ve been over the feud thing since forever. Although your brother beat me up yesterday.”
“Hahaha! Nice.”
“Hey! I thought we were all friends now.”
“Sorry, old instinct. I’ll have a word with him, though.”

Mercutio’s really into the cheerleaders. It’s a good distraction from thinking about his high-school girlfriend Hermia being around again.

He’s getting ready to leave the dorms, and is bringing Chaz and Phin along to live with him.

Ellen Frost gets a place of her own, and invites her dormie girlfriend to move in with her, and go steady. To my horror, Jade turns out to be a romance sim! I have a feeling Ellen might be headed for heartache :(

Ah, college.

Mercutio settles into his new home with the lads.

Emily was sort of into Ellen Frost, and even tried to kiss her once, but Ellen turned her down. Still, the two of them get along.

Befriending the gnome-thief turned out to be the easiest way to steal him back. Tybalt only had to wait until Roxie had her guard down, and he could swipe the gnome.

Winter! I’m keeping the university’s on a standard seasonal setup rather than having it all set in one season like my main hoods, since college time is already so weird anyway. This made a nice change!

Ellen’s girlfriend Jade doesn’t make much of an effort with her studies, and spends almost all her free time in the tub, either bathing or playing.

The cheating’s well under way, too. I had some hope for this pairing but Jade rolled literally no wants for Ellen and was just focused on getting her woohoo number up. Which wasn’t too difficult, since she has a host of attractive townie friends.

What starts off as a small gathering of friends quickly blooms into something big! It’s always the case with college parties, I think.

:(

“So… Jade seems nice.”

“I’m glad you think so! Although between you and me, we haven’t really spent a lot of time together lately.”

“But didn’t you just move in together? Surely that means you’d be spending more time together, if anything.”

“I don’t know. Whenever I get back from class she’s always downtown, or sleeping, or working. She never really seems to want to do anything together other than, well, uh, you know.”

“That must be frustrating.”

“Yeah.”

Rock on, Mercutio!

Just gotta say, I’m having a lot of fun playing Academie Le Tour! It’s fun playing all the different households and giving them a “studenty” vibe. I’ve definitely been a bit crap at mixing up which college sims go to for maximum crossover potential, though, and might have some transfer elsewhere later. Tybalt, Mercutio and Ellen’s households are all Juniors now, so next time I’ll be playing Romeo & Juliette, along with some more of the LFT bunch.

But yeah, love college. I was dreading playing this part of the rotation since college is so time-consuming and tricky to document completely, but it feels like it’s going by surprisingly quickly?
