Strangetown, Season 1 (Spring & Summer) - Part 2
Bella Goth claimed out of the rubble, and took a look at her surroundings. Where was she? Come to think of it… who was she? She remembered her name. That was about it. What had happened to her?
Before she could get her bearings, a boy rushed out to meet her. Well, he was an adult, really, but something about him seemed so young!
“Are you okay??? I saw the ship crash from the rooftop!” He gestured to the castle behind him.
“I’m fine, I think. What happened?”
“Um, you were abducted, I guess? It looks like the ship crashed. Which is weird! Pascal, uh, he says the aliens drop you off back at your house when they’re done with you? Maybe-”
“Nervous, stay away from that crash site, we don’t know what might- oh. Hello there.”
“Hello. My, you look like a shady fellow! Are you involved with organised crime?”
“What, no? For God’s sake, woman, what gave you that idea?”
“There’s just something very suspicious looking about your face! Sorry, that was rude, I don’t know what came over me.”
“You’re probably still recovering from the crash. If you come inside, we’ll see what we can do to help.”
“That’s kind of you! You have my thanks.”
At the Beakers, Bella was settling in.
As a sidenote, for a change I am playing Nervous as staying there willingly, rather than as a hostage. He was sick of being in care, and opened the paper one day as a teenager to look for a job. The Beakers were advertising for a live-in test subject, and he volunteered.
They don’t treat him well, exactly, but they pay him, and give him food and shelter. He doesn’t feel like he really has anywhere else he can go. He gets on with the Beakers okay, but what he really longs for is a real family.
Today, though, he received a phone call from a woman claiming to be his mother.
Circe wasn’t all that happy to have Bella around. Granted, an alien abductee would be valuable for Loki’s research, but she didn’t like having a younger, more beautiful woman wandering about her castle.
To her delight, however, she discovered she was with child. She hoped for a strong heir to the Beaker estate.
Some cute shots of life at the Beaker mansion. Bella is so adorable!
Nervous is a bit intimidated by her. He keeps to himself for the most part.
Nervous might not be close to Loki, but he’s made a close friend of his sister Erin, who visits from time to time.
Desperate to finally have that first kiss, Nervous plucked up the courage and kissed her. She fell in love with him instantly, but he wasn’t sure if he really felt the same. He cared for her, though, and being physically close to another human felt good. Was it so wrong?
Loki convinces Bella to help out with an experiment while his usual test subject is out.
Things go well! With the energizer working, it might be able to help Circe with her difficult pregnancy.
“Thank you, my darling.”
(Circe was on the verge of death, so this was a lucky escape! Easier than try to get her to eat and having her pass out in her food.)
Nervous had decided to get himself a second job, and earned a promotion on his first day! (I can’t actually remember what career it was, though.)
Nervous and Loki do a spot of stargazing together, and Loki warns him to avoid those no-good Curious brothers. The ugly one with the glasses spys on his wife!
(Nervous isn’t sure whether to believe him, though. He sees Loki spying on THEM all the time! And Pascal seems so nice!)
