Pleasantview, Season 1 (Spring & Summer)
The Burbs are a pretty happy couple, but the two sims are very different. Jennifer is a career-driven sim, determined to improve their living conditions and get a nice house like her brothers. John was much more of a homebody, and really wanted to have more children to care for.
Jenny’s not against having more children, not exactly, but she’s much more interested in moving up the job ladder. She doesn’t exactly have the best relationship with young Lucy, either. Whenever her daughter asks her to play, she usually turns her down.
Dustin was acting out more and more, getting in a lot of trouble with the law. Luckily for Brandi, he was fired from his job on the criminal career. She hoped he’d find himself a better job!
Brandi befriended the Caliente sisters, and fellow family sim John Burb. Despite being a family man, John has trouble hiding his attraction to Brandi…
The Calientes received a shock when they were burgled, but luckily, after the last time they’d installed a burgler alarm! The police officer wasn’t able to take him down and he escaped, but hopefully he wouldn’t be returning!
Dina had fallen pregnant. Whether she’d planned this was something she kept to herself, but the facts were facts. Mortimer hadn’t planned on remarrying after Bella, but, well, he wanted to make sure his child was taken care of.
So many women, so little time! Don’s favourite was Nina, definitely Nina, but her sister was hot, too. And Kaylynn. Hoo boy. She was gorgeous. She was his favourite.
Cassandra was the one he was marrying, of course. The one with the money! Her family were important, too, and might be able to help him further his career. And, well, he felt bad about what happened to her mother. He couldn’t help blaming himself. Seeing her so broken up over it had made him feel like he had to make amends, protect her. He just hoped she wouldn’t find out about his other lovers. He felt a little guilty, but, well, he was a romance sim! What did she expect?
The wedding was just in time, with Dina going into labour at the wedding reception!
Welcome to Pleasantview, Oliver Goth!
Dirk was head over heels for Lilith Pleasant, and things between them were going really well! But when he took her on a date to the community centre, she wasn’t impressed, and decided she was going to take him out. To the goth club! “I sneak out here all the time!” She’d told him, proudly.
The date went so well, that she arrived the next day with a gift! Dirk wondered a little how much it cost, (surely it wasn’t stolen, right?) but was mostly excited to learn the art of DJ-ing!
Mary-Sue Pleasant was having the worst day ever. First she was fired, then she found out her husband was having an affair? With the maid? The worst part was he didn’t even have any intention of ending it when she found out. He just continued to flaunt Kaylynn, right in her face!
“Politics are a complete joke,” she complained to Dustin, her daughter’s boyfriend, “never go into politics, kid! You spend several hard years working for them, and what to they do? Fire you over a fucking grammar error.”
Meanwhile, Daniel decided to escape the furious wife and go for a night out with his sister and brother-in-law.
In light of their parents’ trouble, Lilith and Angela, amazingly, decided they wanted to apologize to each other. How long would their truce last? Only time would tell…
Dustin being fired was the best thing that ever happened to him. He had much more time to spend looking after his younger siblings, Beau and Mia, who both adored him. Beau was coming home with perfect grades, and Mia was growing up well. Things seemed to be looking up for the Brokes!
Nina knew he was married, but romance was romance! Besides, he was her first love. And who ever forgot their first love?
Alexander grew up, and quickly began dating Meadow Thayer. She was easily the most beautiful sim teen in town, and he didn’t think she’d have time for the likes of him, but she seemed pretty interested, dorky glasses and all!
Married life sure was exhausting! Especially when your lovely new bride was already carrying your child.
Oliver’s birthday party went disastourously awry when a very pregnant Dina took a slice of cake into the garden and was shocked to death by a very angry ghost! Mortimer tried to plead for his wife’s life, but was sadly unsuccessful.
Mortimer was heartbroken. He was finally learning to love again after Bella’s disappearance, when his new love was snatched from him just as abruptly. Life was cruel sometimes. At least he had a beautiful son to remember her by, and he kept a brove face on for Oliver’s sake, but the knowledge that he would never meet their other child was devastating.
Lucy Burb grew up, and got herself acquainted with the rest of the local teens.
With Lucy a teenager and Jennifer still uninterested in more children, John started work again, and was quick to gain a promotion. Jennifer was less lucky, getting fired from her job as a paramedic. It was so frustrating to see her husband, who couldn’t care less about work or money, succeeding while she floundered!
For a homebody, though, John was a terrible cook. The experience frightened Lucy a lot. News of Dina’s death had spread fast throughout Pleasantview, and Lucy was scared she’d come close to it herself.
