Year 1 - Autumn - Shepherd
The final household of the round - the Shepherds! They’ve had plenty of hay to harvest and put away for their sheep - they should be nicely fed this winter! And of course they can sell off the excess.
Hannah has mostly been making her income from selling milk, a popular commodity. She’s working on weaving wool thread into fabric too, but it’s slow going and she often fails and wastes material. She was hoping she’s be able to at least have blankets ready come winter time, but it’s not looking like that will be easy!
Clarissa tries to help out occasionally, but her pressence as a customer tends to be bad for business. Nothing loses customer stars like fighting with the local priest!
Emily grows up adorable, gets a new hairdo to better show off her cute little ears, and quickly becomes an asset to their family business by chatting up customers.
She rolls romance for her aspiration, but also gains the “hopeless romantic” trait (alongside excitable, eccentric, and heavy sleeper). So, I guess once she finds the right person she’ll be the devoted type!
Emily thinks Joshua Harwood is cute and decides to try flirting with him, unaware of his relationship with Rose Rudhall. Rose is of course pissed off! Emily might need to learn to tred more carefully when it comes to love and roamnce…
And that’s all! I thought we might see Hannah spend some time with her lover, Elliot, but they didn’t run into each other at all. I guess he’s busy with his new wife.
Hannah doesn’t mind being his mistress. She’s not hugely interested in re-marrying or dealing with going through pregnancy and childbirth all over again, anyway. She’s quite happy with her lot.
This places young Emily in an unusual and advantageous position, as she’s a rare female heir! The farmhouse and the flock of sheep will all be hers someday.
