Year 1 - Autumn - Bouldre

The Bouldres are next up! To be honest, theirs was a very chill round without much drama. Just good, old-fashioned mining.

Things at the house are going well - they at this point have a huge surplus of coal and copper ore so are selling as much as they can. They also sell a few healing crystals to Lord Lionel, figuring they can make some extra cash of their sick liege lord. Newly-revived Esther collects the money, Harlad is on sales, and Thori does restocking. Nigel himself jumps in whereever is needed, but he was a little preoccupied this round…

The ROS for this household was to have an adult abducted by aliens elves, and Nigel was the only candidate, so he spent a lot of the round star-gazing examining another set of strange eggs he found in a tree. I guess I could have forced an abduction, but I like leaving these things up to fate, tbh! And the elves don’t seem interested in Nigel right now. Maybe next time…

Poor Thori has not been well at all, he’s got a bit of a miner’s cough! He’s really too old these days to be spending a lot of time in the mines… luckily, the family have quite the stash of healing crystals! Nigel’s got a knack for finding magical things, even if he doesn’t really believe in any of that stuff…

To end the round, Esther took Leofe to the village green. She wanted to spend some time with her daughter, but she’s also a romance sim and was in need of some flirting and fun! And she ended up finding it in old Lambert Glanndour.

Theirs wasn’t the only romance blooming at the village green - it looks like Elliot doesn’t treat being newly married as an obstacle when it comes to his feelings for Hannah Shepherd! Oh dear.

Micheal was also there and was understandably pissed off to see Primrose’s husband behaving in such a way. And it upset James to see his father fighting!

Esther’s totally oblivious to all the drama, though. She and Lambert are in their own little world!

And that’s all from the Bouldres! A pretty laid back season, all things considered. They have a ton of money but almost no food since they don’t do any farming, and their berry bushes have gone dormant. They do have a few mushrooms growing where Esther’s grave used to be, but those won’t last forever and can’t really feed a family of four.

It’s a good thing the merchants arrive this winter, they’ll be able to buy food from the market next season.
