Year 1 - Spring - Harwood (Peasant Woodcutters)
A small woodcutter’s hut for the Harwoods, a peasant family of woodcutters.
Their storage shed/workshop isn’t used for much right now, but I feel like it’ll be useful when the family gets bigger.
Their house being on a slope turned out to be kind of a silly idea since they can’t reach the trees to actually cut them down, but they’re able to collect plenty of branches for firewood so I guess it works out!
It’s been a difficult Spring for the Harwoods. Now that it’s just the two of them, Alexander has a lot of responsibilities. He has to learn the woodsman’s trade without a mentor to guide him, but luckily he’s always been a quick learner!
Alexander is shy by nature, so whilst he’s taken to woodcutting just fine the process of actually running a business and talking to customers has been quite the stressful challenge.
Despite his shyness, Alexander is extremely popular with girls! Maybe they see him as the mysterious type (the tragic orphan backstory probably helps.) He has good chemistry with just about every teenage girl in Driftwood, but seems pretty settled on Helen Dowrick, even falling in love with her. He has a want to go steady with her, so we’ll see about that next round. I think the two of them would be a great match - they’re both knowledge sims and on the shy side but Helen is a born salesperson so could help out with the business side of things.
Poor Joshua couldn’t help out much and spent a lot of the round in aspiration failure, he’s devastated at losing a parent. He’s a cute kid though and ended up gaining some body skill and making some friends, so we’ll see what the future holds for him! Will he be a woodcutter like his older brother, or forge his own path?
