Kurt: Is Scarlett all right down there?

Layla: She’s fine, I’m keeping an eye on her! Would you mind feeding her, actually? I gotta finish this book on lockpicking before my carpool gets here.

Kurt: Why do you need… nevermind. Sure, I’ll get her.

Layla: Thanks, babe!

Kurt: Yeah, of course you can come over! You can even meet the baby, I promise she’s a cutie!

Layla arrives home with another mystery solved (although not exactly a major mystery) and a promotion! It’s like her life is finally starting to get back on the right track…

Layla: So, who’s the blonde?

Kurt: Oh, Lydia? She’s just a friend from college, don’t worry about it. How was work?

Layla: Pretty sweet! I got a promotion.

Kurt: Awesome. So do you get a pay rise, too?

Layla: I don’t know all the details yet. But yeah, I think so!

Kurt: Nice, nice. Hey, Lydia. Check out my super-smart girlfriend, earning the big bucks as a Crime Scene Investigator.

Lydia: Congratulations?

Lydia: I just want to double check. Are you and Kurt in an open relationship? Because that’s what he told me, but you never know…

Layla: Ha! I appreciate the head’s up, but yeah, we’re open. Hope me getting home early didn’t cockblock you two or whatever.

Lydia: Oh, no, it’s fine! I’m not even sure Kurt’s my type, to be honest.

Layla: Hey, what’s wrong with Kurt???

While the women are talking, Scarlett grows up into a toddler! I think the bucket hat is pretty iconic, she’s keeping it for sure. Plus she grew into a red outfit to match her name!

While Layla and Lydia continue to gossip about him, Kurt gets on with the important business of potty training Scarlett, and teaching her some tunes!

Scarlett’s grumpy like her mom, and a genius like her dad! A dangerous combination, for sure. An aries like them too, and super outgoing. After learning a nursury rhyme from her daddy she’s already found her one true hobby: music!

Lydia: Well done on the promotion! Kurt was saying how driven you are.

Layla: Aw man, he’s so embarassing sometimes. It’s not even really a real promotion, I got demoted a while ago and just got back to where I was before I had Scarlett…

It’s their day off, so Layla and Kurt call the nanny and get some dinner at Grab-A-Byte cafe (by @moocha-muses!)

Kurt: That was a nice time.

Layla: Yeah… hey. What do you think about making our relationship, like, official?

Kurt: I thought we were already pretty official! We live together, we have a daughter…

Layla: I know, I know. But when you called me your girlfriend the other night, that felt nice. I’ve never really had that before, I guess. Usually as soon as a guy starts calling me “his” I run for the hills.

Kurt: I’m fine with whatever pace you want to take things, babe. But you know I’m crazy about you.

Layla: Yeah. Do you wanna get married?

Kurt: Uh… what? Seriously?

Layla: Why the hell not?

Kurt: Wow, you actually brought a ring.

Layla: Well, this isn’t just spur of the moment! I like what we’re doing, and I want to keep doing it. All that domestic shit, raising Scarlett, and being in love. Does that sound good?

Kurt: That sounds perfect.
